Katia Honour charts the co-creative relationships between the imaginal and physical, not as separate realms but as a majestic symbiosis. After lifelong esoteric, occult and shamanic trance practices, she became compelled to adopt oil paints and map the meeting places ‘between worlds”, where personal merges with myth, humans reveal their divinity and the Divine communes with humanity.

“Visions arise within trance and yearn to take form, unveiling their mystery tauntingly as the artwork emerges. At times the vision is incomplete, so I use light trance, random techniques and scrying to invite the unforeseen elements.”
